The following is an example of a typical day within the program:
8.30 am – 9.00am: Free play time
with teachers and therapists in our fully equipped gyms
9.00am – 9.30am: Lesson 1
9.30am -10.00am: Snack and social time
daily life skills such as toilet training and eating
10am – 10.30am:Group or Individual Occupational Therapy
10.30am– 11.00am: Lesson 2
11.00am – 11.15am: Break time and social time:
daily life skills
Group or Individual Speech Therapy
12.00pm: Pick up
What type of activities does the program include?
The program is an early intervention, play based program that focuses on building the foundational skills a child needs to participate and succeed in preschool. A typical week would incorporate the following:
Activities that focus on language development and social communication.
Fine motor activities that promote the development of hand skills.
Activities to develop listening skills and the ability to attend to a teacher.
Play experiences that develop imaginary and symbolic play skills.
Sensory exploration and creative play experiences
Music and movement activities
Perceptual motor activities that promote the development of gross motor skills
School readiness skills like taking turns, following instructions and independence skills
